About Us
Formed in 1977, NYSSO is affiliated with the
NYSPHSAA under whose auspices it has has exclusive rights to all high school
softball played in the 11 sections of New York state. All play is
governed by ASA rules with NYS specific modifications.
NYSSO is comprised of 30 local chapters, each of
which is responsible for training and certifying officials under the five
point program mandated by NYSPHAA.
